HOT ROCK face melts! SCINTILLATING SOLO mind blasting!! Whatever body part you care to dangle out there its gonna get wonderfully mangled by the Goose! These 4 East Vancouver boys can rip solos, wide stances and they know how turn up the rock! Turnin' that East Van dial way past 11. The band started out in 2002. Guitarist Shockk and singer RC met in Roadbed's rehearsal space on Terminal Ave. to record the song "Let's All Go To The Restaurant" on the Tascam 488. After that they wrote and recorded 14 other songs and dubbed that album "White Plastic Deer"which they released on Sony's Red Distribution label. That spawned a bunch of tours back and forth across Canada covering thousands and thousands of kilometers. Most recently Mongoose took their road show to Japan in 2010 where they blasted through place like Shinjuku, and Yokohama just to name a few. Four recordings later they have evolved from a post punk/jazz hurricane into a formidable and seasoned rock band, opening for bands such as Clutch and Steel Panther. The lineup has gone through more changes than my sister and dudes, a revolver of top notch drummers and a slew of wicked bass players circulates around the core of Shockk and RC. Today Mongoose are Johnny Wildkat on bass (6 yrs) and Marc "The Temp" Lovisa (2.8 yrs) with Shockk and RC. Steve Radar (The Great Sabatini) has been drumming with the band on international tours. In 2011 Mongoose teamed up with Eric "Monster" Mosher to begin production on their latest recording "Rock The Boat". The band is working on a few singles to be released in the spring of 2012.
